Bio

The singer and composer Célia Kameni, who graduated from the Lyon Conservatory in 2015, is considered one of France’s most distinctive vocalists. A stellar performer, Kameni shines just as brightly in the realm of jazz as she does in soul and pop, collaborating with the symphonic orchestra Geneva Camerata, French-Israeli singer Yael Naim, and the Neapolitan duo Nu Genea among others.

In 2023, Célia Kameni started her solo project through which she expresses the full range of her creative experiences. Citing the likes of Joni Mitchell and Moses Sumney as influences, she blends elements of contemporary soul, folk and ambient into a style that fuses improvisation, poetry, and deep vibrations.

Her debut single “Wrong Again” was released in the spring of 2025, followed by “I Do”. Célia Kameni’s debut EP Méduse is due August 29th. She is nominated at the 2025 Victoires du Jazz, in the “best vocalist” category.
